Value what you have
A Business Owner father before he died said to his son: “this is a watch⏱ your grandfather gave me, and is more than 200 years old. But before I give it to you, “go to the coffee shop and tell him I want to sell it, and see how much he offers you”.
He went and then came back, and said: “the coffee shop owner offered only 5$ father”.
The father then said go to the watch shop on the first street and try doing the same.
He went, and then came back to his father, and said, “the watchmaker offered better deal this time, he offered 20$ because it’s old”.
Once again his father asked him “Go to the museum and show that watch”.
He went there, came back, and said to his father in astonishment “father, you won’t believe, museum people offered me a million dollars for this piece”.
Learning from the story
1. Know the worth of what you have with you, in business it is called your Unique Serving Proposition (USP).
2. Once you know the Value of your USP, you need to offer it to the right audience who really Values your USP.
